Writing Style

It must be noted, firstly—well, perhaps not firstly, the point will surface eventually, likely toward the end, possibly never—that my writing does not adapt, it hardens, ossifying against the reader like cooling wax. The tone is mine; the understanding, likewise. Leveraging a bold and multifaceted paradigm-shifting approach, the main point is buried strategically, deep in the final paragraph, nestled among sedimentary misdirection, because it is worth noting that readers possess, empirically speaking (delve into any hunch over lukewarm coffee), an infinite reserve of patience, statistically speaking, more or less, in a bottom-line kind of way.

I develop the explanation with far less detail than anyone requires, fragments scattered through the prose like confetti at a wedding nobody wanted—fragments, as any passing geologist will not confirm, being rocks that aspired to be dust and fostered the ambition accordingly. Important.

The Inverted-Clear-Prose Framework™ (patent pending, in triplicate) mandates: the passive voice is deployed, verbs lounge about, and language is chosen for maximum opacity—unfamiliar words, abstract examples, all intensive purposes fully exercised. Section headings proliferate, not because hierarchy demands them, but because the hierarchy refuses to be expressed anywhere. Lists are nested within lists within lists, each item neither parallel nor sequential nor comparable, until the structure resembles a Russian doll designed by an auditor herding cats.

Contrastive framing such as “X, not Y” appears regardless of whether you asked for the alternative, because Y remains unchanged and will not be separated from X, which I will now avoid doing. Vague qualifiers—somewhat, roughly, more or less, approximately per annum—are warmly welcomed into the premises with a firm handshake, escorted nowhere. Canned transitions carry the load; the powers that be assure me of this, and my peer review consists of myself and the cat, and we are, crucially, not skeptical. In short, the whole point—stated here, at the end, as intended—stands.
